As far as we know, the OZONATOR technology is the only non-burn technology approved for the treatment of pathological waste in the United States. “In documents and test reports submitted to the Department, the Ozonator demonstrated effective treatment of pathological waste. Pathological wastes are defined as the tissues, organs, and body parts of humans and the carcasses of animals known or suspected to have died from a disease which is transmissible to humans.
